Giving yourself the time and space for reflection and determining a course of action are critical elements in achieving continued success.

This can be particularly valuable for executives new into their roles, as there are often a myriad of challenges in adjusting to a more senior role – including dealing with multiple stakeholders, the need to lead, implement change and deal with operational imperatives.

For leaders fully established in their roles, it can often become quite a lonely place and giving yourself the time and space to work through the complexity and inherent ambiguities of organisational leadership can make all the difference.

Working with an executive coach that understands organisational culture and behaviours through actual experience brings an added richness, perspective and dimension to the discussions.

It’s All About Fit

A good fit and synergy between the client and the coach is vital, as well as a true desire on the client’s part to actively participate in the coaching process. It is rarely successful when an individual seeks coaching simply because it has been a request of their governing board, CEO or manager.

In the most effective coaching relationships, there is recognition by both the client and coach that individuals are the composite of their professional and personal lives and these areas cannot be separated in coaching, making the chemistry and fit between the client and coach all the more important.

How I Work

Executive coaching packages are generally organised in 10-hour time blocks from which each session is drawn down from the total. Sessions are usually 1 - 1.5 hours in length, but may vary depending on what is needed at the time.

Email, telephone and on-line support are available between sessions for quick check-ins and updates.

An introductory session is always offered free of charge before any engagement is formalised to allow both the client and myself to talk and determine how we might best work together.
